Riverside Boulevard

The custom millwork at this Riverside Boulevard apartment in New York City is rustic and modern. A mix of reclaimed Oak, torched wood, blackened steel, brass, and laminated mesh glass combine to create a warm and luxurious home. The entry way woodwork and banquette kitchen seating are made from reclaimed lumber, the kitchen cabinetry and island are torched using Shou Sugi Ban technique, and the media console can be hidden. Wishbone Woodworking designed and built a number of heirloom furniture pieces for the home, all built by hand using traditional joinery techniques. Pieces include a king size bed out of solid sandblasted Ash, two queen size beds in Oak, three dressers out of solid White Oak, a solid Walnut Nakashima style dresser, and a slab Walnut coffee table.
